Shea Hillenbrand touched them all at the ballpark where the Dyersville
Jurassics beat the Jefferson Park Penguins 4 to 2.
Dyersville scored 3 runs in the 4th inning when they had 5 base hits. Casey
Blake kicked off the action when he lined a single. Terrmel Sledge followed
and he slapped a base-hit. Sledge took second on the throw. After an out
was recorded, Craig Biggio stepped up to the plate and he would ground out
bringing in a run. Victor Martinez was up next and he ripped a base-knock
plating one more runner. Neifi Perez came to the plate and slapped a
one-base hit. Darin Erstad kept the inning going and doubled scoring the
final run of the inning. Jefferson Park had a chance to come back in the 9th
but they came up short.
Tim Wakefield(1-3) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 6 innings.
Wakefield got help from Joe Nathan who earned his 3rd save. Bronson
Arroyo(1-2) was the loser. He allowed 8 hits and 1 walk in 6 innings.
